Indispensable Listening: My Favorite Podcast

stencil.blog-post-feature - podcastI was just driving, and I had a realization.  It has been weeks since I have turned on the radio in my car.  And I do not mind one bit.

Podcasts have taken over my car rides.  And I have no regrets whatsoever.  In fact, I think my day is better due to my changed listening habits!

I have around 10 podcasts that I love to listen to, but there is one podcast that I absolutely do not miss.  This podcast has provided the most practical and actionable information out of any other source of information for me.  In fact, I am currently reviewing every single episode for the third time.

For me, the Andy Stanley Leadership Podcast is indispensable.  It perfectly blends leadership theory with practical, actionable steps that I can implement immediately – both at work and in my personal life.  I have not found a better source of information for learning how to lead in my home, at work, and in my community.

I encourage everyone who reads this to check out this podcast.

Andy Stanley is pastor, but these podcasts are designed a person of any religion or worldview.  Frankly, I would consider each episode must-listen material regardless of a person’s background.

As a start, I suggest listening to a two-part series titled, “How to Lead When You’re Not In Charge” dated 5/2/2014 and 6/6/2014.  You can always start at the most recent and work backwards, but leading when you are not in charge is likely a near-universal issue that we face (I know I have always wondered about this topic).

I would love to know if anyone else loves this podcast (or hates it), and I would also love to know of any other podcasts that you currently listen to.  Let me know if the comments below!

  • I am a fan of podcasts as well. It’s like an hour or two with the top people in many fields and it’s FREE! I listened to the Andy Stanley Podcast that you recommended, it was good to hear. I especially liked the part about the strategy doesn’t really matter if you believe in the end there is no one way to do things. Also the fact that you lead from where you are start with yourself.

I had to share this podcast with you it was done with Seth Godin and Chase Jarvis (Seth is a legendary thought leader on marketing and the way the world is moving and Chase is a famous photographer running a business called Creative Live helping others with life education) The podcast talks about Education, Tips and Tricks, Art vs. Making a living that you can find online, etc. Link to podcast : https://www.producthunt.com/podcasts/seth-godin-on-the-chase-jarvis-live-show

Alpesh – thanks for the comment! I love the podcast that you shared. I have read nearly all of Seth Godin’s books. I never read one without getting tons of ideas and much to implement.
